Low-Effort, High-Impact Media Strategies for Women Leaders in Tech

Low-Effort, High-Impact Media Strategies for Women Leaders in Tech

If you have not yet….

  • Gained the visibility you want, and feel you need at this stage in your career…

  • Earned media attention for your product, portfolio of products or game-changing tech solutions…

  • Become an "expert" sought out by media outlets, commanding key media partnerships or media attention, even though you have deep knowledge, unique positioning or compelling credibility in your field…

Then this Product Therapy session is for you.

In the midst of increasing algorithmic bias on social media and DEI setbacks, to increase the visibility of women leaders with credibility, it’s now more important to explore new and perhaps less obvious media channels that will value expertise over ‘algorithmic luck.’

Dr. Jenny Grant Rankin will join Product Therapy to share how she has spoken on diverse global stages - from the DR Congo to International Comic-Con - and appeared in high profile media outlets, including:  ABC News, BBC, Business Insider, CBS News, CNN, Forbes Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, MSN, NPR, NBC News, The New York Times, O: The Oprah Magazine, U.S. News & World Report, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and many more.

Jenny has trained scientists and data analysts on how to get the media coverage their work deserves. Now she wants to help women leaders gain greater visibility, including from under-the-radar media channels, to cement authority and build trust.

In this session, she will share practical strategies and tactics, including tips on:

  • Accessing "Expert" Databases: How to get on the radar of reporters and event planners.

  • Media Mastery: Responding to journalist queries to land features in outlets like NPR and Forbes that could drive organic product growth and user trust.

  • Inclusive Visibility: Utilizing specialized resources designed specifically for women, LGBT+, and POC leaders.

  • Coverage and platform shortcuts: Identify ‘faster-track’ avenues for TED Talks, book publishing, and mainstream media interviews.
