An edtech founder, board member, author and public speaker, Dr. Rankin is passionate about using data to improve results in education. Dr. Rankin co-founded a data-driven edtech over a decade ago to measurably improve student performance and teacher success in the classroom. Post-acquisition, it serves 17 million students in all 50 states. Dr. Rankin has been honored by the White House for her work. She has lectured and taught students at Columbia University, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Oxford. She currently serves on three edtech companies’ boards and writes about teens and education, among other topics, for Psychology Today.

A social media tech founder, advocate, and public speaker, Olivia DeRamus is building a better, safer digital world. An assault survivor, Olivia knows first-hand the safety issues women face, and she is on a mission to create social safety online and within the broader tech industry. As CEO of Communia, Olivia has reimagined social media with a women-centric lens, creating a safe space for ‘Zillennial’ women’s wellness and networking. Communia is taking a user-centric, responsible AI (RAI) approach to data labeling and more. Olivia has been featured in Glamour, BBC News, TechCrunch and more.

Dr Nayak-Young is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist at Lifestance Health. Prior to entering the medical field, she worked as a management consultant, co-founded a bioinformatics startup company, and worked in the non-profit sector. She graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University in three years with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and won full merit scholarships to attend University of Cambridge where she got her Master's degree in Molecular Biology and University of Michigan where she got her Medical doctorate. She completed her general psychiatry residency at UCLA-Semel Institute and her child and adolescent fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Panelists and moderator will cover topics like how tech and AI companies, as well as parents, can:
- protect youth from harmful, bullying or violent content,
- prevent addictions to 'imaginary friends' and screen time,
- promote healthy childhood and adolescent development and socialization,
- assure quality data is used to positively support and include youth, or
